Speaker’s Profile:

Prof. Huang Chi-sum is an Emeritus Professor in the Department of Management at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a former Editor-in-Chief of the Asia Pacific Journal of Management. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Business Administration Faculty of The Chinese University of Hong Kong and later obtained his Ph.D. from the Department of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management at Purdue University, USA. Prof. Huang began teaching in the Department of Management at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1990 and retired in 2021. He now holds the title of Emeritus Professor.

Prof. Huang has published over 200 works on management and education in international academic journals, conferences, and books. His 2002 paper on labor-management trust in Chinese enterprises was recognized by the Anbar (Emerald Management Review) database as one of the top 50 out of over 20,000 management-related papers published that year. In 2009, his paper on the employment of local talent by foreign enterprises in mainland China was selected by the Academy of Management as one of the top five papers in the field of international human resource management. Prof. Huang has served on the editorial boards of several major academic journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of International Business, Journal of Organizational and Occupational Psychology, Journal of World Business, and the Asia Pacific Journal of Management, where he served as Editor-in-Chief from 2019 to 2021.
