On the morning of June 17, Yue Ting, Chairman of the Australian National Education Group, and his delegation visited the university. Vice President Yan Ming, who is also a member of the university’s Party Committee, held a discussion meeting with the guests in Room 333 of Qiyuan Building at the Anning Campus. The meeting was attended by Yu Yong, Director of the International Affairs Office, Yan Xiong, Dean of the School of Tourism and Hotel Management, Wang Zhihui, Associate Dean of the School of Tourism and Hotel Management, representatives from the China Office of the Queensland Investment Promotion Committee, and other relevant department heads of the university.
Yan Ming warmly welcomed the delegation from the Australian National Education Group and provided a detailed introduction to the university’s basic situation and distinctive features in international education. He emphasized that introducing high-quality foreign educational resources to support the growth and success of students has always been a key aspect of the university’s internationalization efforts. The university will continue to support the implementation of international education projects.
Yue Ting introduced the Australian National Education Group’s basic situation, development goals, and the operational status of related projects in China. He expressed the hope that through cooperation, both parties could jointly create high-quality programs that meet students’ needs, providing more and better opportunities for overseas study and employment. This would help cultivate outstanding talents with international vision and competitiveness.
During the meeting, the two sides also exchanged views on diversified projects such as the Australian National Education Group’s UniTrack program and the Sino-French Vatel project experiences. They conducted in-depth discussions on the basic framework and content of future cooperation. Following the meeting, both parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for cooperation.
