From April 18 to 19, the finals of the inaugural Business Case Analysis Selection Challenge were held at the SAP China Research Institute Digital Academy in Shanghai. The project titled “Renewal Path of ABS Company’s Procurement Management in Adversity” by graduate students from our Accounting (Auditing) School made it to the finals and ultimately secured second place nationwide.

Since the competition was announced in March, team members Wang Yixian, Lin Wenyang, Li Xuemeng, and Huang Hong, all 2023 Master’s students in Accounting, under the guidance of Professor Luo Li from the Accounting School, diligently studied online courses and exemplary cases. They mastered business case analysis skills and adeptly applied structured analysis methods and tools to dissect the competition case, providing solutions for the case company. This culminated in their project, “Renewal Path of ABS Company’s Procurement Management in Adversity”. Participating in this competition allowed the students to gain deeper insights into ERP cloud and AI-related theoretical knowledge, while also enhancing their teamwork and business analysis capabilities.

The Business Case Analysis Selection Challenge is one of the projects under the “Hope Project·Digital Talent Empowerment Program” implemented by SAP (China) Co., Ltd. in collaboration with the China Youth Development Foundation. The competition combines online and offline learning with case analysis practice to attract widespread student participation. It aims to help contemporary youth understand the background of digital development, grasp digital concepts and skills, and enhance their professional competencies.
